Welcome To DJ D Dub Events
My appreciation, love and passion for music was cemented at a young age. My mother often loved sharing her fondest memory of me as a toddler sitting in front of our stereo speakers captivated by a complex and dramatic musical piece known as “The Battle of 1812.” Being the son of a DJ and the youngest of three, my early childhood and teenage moments were filled with an endless library of jazz, blues, funk, rock and roll, disco and every kind of world music accessible at the time.
Professionally, my career has been rooted in the music and events industries my entire adult life. As a young man while attending Arizona State University, I worked in music retail. I continued my journey to wholesale soon after I graduated from ASU and shortly after that I moved to New York City to begin my own distribution company known as Studio Distribution. We were pioneers for styles of music largely known back then as house, drum and bass, trance, downtempo/lounge, etc. Today, this style is now known as EDM.
I can say with confidence, we paved the way for many unknown artists and labels in Europe at the time and laid the foundation for an extremely successful genre of music here in The States. This is an accomplishment I am personally and profoundly proud of.
As an events professional, I’ve been DJing weddings and events for 10+ years. I started booking and running events in NYC and continued here in AZ when I relocated in 2016. I have personally overseen/managed over 1000 weddings & events and have personally DJ/MC’d over 300 of my own events. I mention all of this because I draw from all of my past experiences when I am booked on a wedding, corporate or private event. Your event will be well planned and flawlessly executed. While I am not the “life of the party type MC”, I will tastefully MC your event. Your event is about you, not about me!
