My appreciation, love and passion for music was cemented at a young age. My mother often loved sharing her fondest memory of me as a toddler sitting in front of our stereo speakers captivated by a complex and dramatic musical piece known as “The Battle of 1812.” Being the son of a DJ and the youngest of three, my early childhood and teenage moments were filled with an endless library of jazz, blues, funk, rock and roll, disco and every kind of world music accessible at the time.
Professionally, my career has been rooted in the music and events industries my entire adult life. As a young man while attending Arizona State University, I worked in music retail. I continued my journey to wholesale soon after I graduated from ASU and shortly after that I moved to New York City to begin my own distribution company known as Studio Distribution. We were pioneers for styles of music largely known back then as house, drum and bass, trance, downtempo/lounge, etc. Today, this style is now known as EDM.
How We Operate
For every event, a detailed planning document will be provided to each client whether it’s a wedding, corporate or private event. The planning document will cover every detail that should be considered when planning an event. This includes a detailed day of timeline, music direction/co-curation.
There will be a minimum of 2 planning meetings for each event, the initial planning meeting, and a recap meeting to confirm all details that were agreed upon during the week leading up to the event. For weddings, there can be multiple meetings as needed while the full vision of the wedding comes to life.
This is a collaborative process, so be ready to work with me to bring your event to life!
